Infidelity DNA Testing

easyDNA is now offering a new service called Infidelity DNA Testing. The tests are designed to give peace of mind to those suspicious about a cheating/unfaithful partner. Through our DNA testing for Infidelity services, we are able to analyse any samples you send us in our laboratory in order to verify the presence of human biological stains, and also to assist in the possible identification of the likely donors.

What Types Of Samples Can Be Analysed By Your Lab?

At easyDNA, we are able to test many Non-Standard Samples at a range of very competitive prices. To understand more about Non-Standard Samples and the success rate of DNA extraction visit our Forensic DNA Testing Services page.

The most important factor in the success rate of extracting DNA is the quality of the samples provided, hence, the less contaminated the sample is, the more likely it will that a DNA profile can be obtained. EasyDNA has a high rate of success in DNA extraction, however, we cannot ever guarantee a 100% success rate. The sample might also not contain any DNA in the first instance.

The type of samples submitted for DNA Infidelity Testing varies from case to case; however, the most common items seem to be hair, underwear, bed sheets, tissues and condoms. That being said, testing can be applied to any sample you suspect to have biological material on it.

What Does An Infidelity DNA Test Show?

  • Human or Non-Human Material: The test can determine if any suspicious stains on items such as underwear are human stains or not. In the event that a DNA profile (full, partial or mixed) is obtained then this will confirm the presence of a human stain.
  • Multiple Gender Testing: This will confirm if the suspicious biological stains are from a male or female donor (or both in the case of mixed profiles). DNA testing can confirm through the identification of the XX and XY chromosome the sex of the donor.
  • Identification of donor:  In the event a DNA profile is obtained, then this can be used to include or exclude an individual from being the donor of that particular sample. A reference sample of the possible donor is required for comparison purposes.
